About the Cpuexperiment PCB
Cpuexperiment is an open source PCB design by fjalvingh, published on GitHub under the GPL-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 160 × 100 mm, with 78 components from 19 distinct parts.
Other key parts include the am2901, 74LS151, 74LS00, 74LS10 and 74LS11. By type, the board carries 27 resistors, 25 diodes, 11 ICs, 11 capacitors and 4 connectors.
From the project
Experimenting with am29xx bitslice chips to make a homemade CPU
The am29xx series of bitslice CPU parts were a big thing when they arrived, and they have been used in many vintage designs. I find them interesting because they are still reasonably simple to understand, and they do replace a large amount of TTL logic for a homebrew CPU. I got a few of these parts from different places and decided to play with them to get an idea on how they work.
