About the Rgba PCB

Rgba is an open source PCB design by fu5ha, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-S-2.0 license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 40 × 22 mm, with 65 components from 24 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the FSC-BT806, PCM5242, TPS62849DLCR, TPS7A3501 and TPS65133DPD. By type, the board carries 28 capacitors, 17 resistors, 6 ICs, 3 switches, 3 LEDs and 3 diodes.

It belongs with the audio, iot & wireless and power & battery designs in this gallery.

From the project

Reasonably Good Bluetooth Audio - A tiny, inline Bluetooth audio receiver for IEMs.

The rgba is a tiny (41x20mm PCB), extremely high fidelity Bluetooth audio receiver meant to attach inline to the cord of a pair of IEMs. It aims to provide as high quality audio as possible while retaining reasonable battery life and its small form factor. It is designed to pair well with high sensitivity, low impedance IEMs. For use with lower sensitivity, harder to drive headphones (or IEMs), you'll need to adjust the values of the resistor feedback network around the Op Amp to provide the proper output power. Rgba: common questions

How big is the Rgba PCB?

The Rgba measures 40 × 22 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Rgba?

65 components, from 24 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Rgba design files?

From the fu5ha/rgba repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Rgba design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-S-2.0 license, which fu5ha chose for the repository.
