About the RustAutoCarParking PCB

RustAutoCarParking is an open source Raspberry Pi PCB design by GhitaAlexandruCatalin, published on GitHub. It is a board, with 9 components from 6 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the RaspberryPi_Pico_W, from the Raspberry Pi family. Other key parts include the TB6612FNG. By type, the board carries 3 modules, 3 connectors, 1 IC, 1 battery holder and 1 switch.

It belongs with the iot & wireless designs in this gallery.

From the project

This project implements an automated parking assistant on the Raspberry Pi Pico 2W (RP2350), using the Embassy async Rust ecosystem. It features motor control, ultrasonic sensing, WiFi access point creation, and a web interface for remote control of parking maneuvers.

RustAutoCarParking: common questions

What microcontroller does the RustAutoCarParking use?

The RustAutoCarParking is built around the RaspberryPi_Pico_W, from the Raspberry Pi family.

How many components are on the RustAutoCarParking?

9 components, from 6 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the RustAutoCarParking design files?

From the GhitaAlexandruCatalin/RustAutoCarParking repository on GitHub, which has the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the RustAutoCarParking design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with GhitaAlexandruCatalin. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the RustAutoCarParking without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug Raspberry Pi firmware against it before you order a PCB.
