Its main chip is the SeedStudio XIAO ESP32 C3 v1, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the L7805. By type, the board carries 13 resistors, 11 connectors, 8 diodes, 4 capacitors, 2 ICs and 2 transistors.
It belongs with the iot & wireless, power & battery and sensors designs in this gallery.
From the project
Ball valve controller for irrigation, water automations and leak prevention. Supports CR05 feedback wiring. Based on ESP32c3. ESPEasy and ESPHome based firmware build instructions included
A DYI ball valve controller for CR05 wiring based on ESP32c3. This device is mainly intended for irrigation and main water valve automation, but is also very suitable for water leak prevention. For safety, a battery helps make sure the device returns to its default state upon reset or power failure. The device can be directly controlled to the default state by external signals such as a local water leak sensor, or you can use your home automation system to cut off water supply based on more advanced conditions.

BallValveController: common questions
What microcontroller does the BallValveController use?
The BallValveController is built around the SeedStudio XIAO ESP32 C3 v1, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the BallValveController PCB?
The BallValveController measures 55.6 × 43.2 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the BallValveController?
43 components, from 23 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the BallValveController design files?
From the hansrune/BallValveController repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the BallValveController design in my own project?
It is published under Custom license, which limits how it may be reused; read the license before building on it.
Can I test firmware for the BallValveController without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
