About the Buck converter PCB

Buck converter is an open source PCB design by hasanberkdasar, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 77.1 × 29.7 mm, with 11 components from 11 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the XL4015. By type, the board carries 4 capacitors, 2 connectors, 2 resistors, 1 IC, 1 diode and 1 inductor.

It belongs with the power & battery designs in this gallery.

From the project

XL4015 buck converter prototype: 8–30 V DC input to regulated 5 V USB-A output

An amateur/prototype DC-DC buck converter that provides a 5 V USB-A output from an 8–30 V DC input.

This project is a PCB prototype developed by an Electrical and Electronics Engineering student for learning, design practice, and open-source sharing. The XL4015-based circuit steps a higher DC input voltage down to a regulated 5 V level suitable for a USB-A power output.
