About the LVDS PCB

LVDS is an open source PCB design by himanshu40304, published on GitHub. It is a 4-layer board measuring 70 × 50 mm, with 10 components from 8 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the SN65LVDS1D and SN65LVDT2D. By type, the board carries 5 capacitors, 3 connectors and 2 ICs.

It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.

From the project

This repository contains the automation workflow and some projects made by using this workflow which makes pcb designs using ai assistance faster than making pcb designs manually.

A high-speed 4-layer Low-Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS) evaluation board featuring the Texas Instruments SN65LVDS1D (Driver) and SN65LVDT2D (Receiver with integrated 110 Ω termination) capable of $\ge 400\text{ Mbps}$ data transmission with co-planar controlled-impedance interconnects, full-coverage ground stitching, and 3D full-wave OpenEMS/ParaView simulation.

LVDS: common questions

How big is the LVDS PCB?

The LVDS measures 70 × 50 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the LVDS?

10 components, from 8 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the LVDS design files?

From the himanshu40304/PCB_automation repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the LVDS design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with himanshu40304. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
