About the Mini ultrasonic PCB
Mini ultrasonic is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by jackestar, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 26.1 × 15 mm, with 50 components from 24 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ATtiny404-SS, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the LM324 and MAX232. By type, the board carries 23 resistors, 15 capacitors, 4 diodes, 3 ICs, 2 transistors and 1 connector.
From the project
mini HC-SR04 based board
The goal is to create a mini version of the HC-SR04 module. The first version is a proof of concept, an equivalent replacement in schematic form, using smaller ultrasonic transceivers and a commercially available ATtiny404 microcontroller instead of the EM78P153A, as well as four programmable LEDs. Future iterations will focus on further simplifying the design and developing different models.

Mini ultrasonic: common questions
What microcontroller does the Mini ultrasonic use?
The Mini ultrasonic is built around the ATtiny404-SS, from the AVR/Arduino family.
How big is the Mini ultrasonic PCB?
The Mini ultrasonic measures 26.1 × 15 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Mini ultrasonic?
50 components, from 24 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Mini ultrasonic design files?
From the jackestar/mini-ultrasonic repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Mini ultrasonic design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which jackestar chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Mini ultrasonic without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
