About the Jayden-Zepeda-Macropad PCB
Jayden-Zepeda-Macropad is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by Jayden-Zepeda, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 100 × 78 mm, with 51 components from 8 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the XIAO-RP2040-SMD, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the 74HC165. By type, the board carries 32 diodes, 16 switches, 2 ICs and 1 connector.
It belongs with the keyboards and displays & leds designs in this gallery.
From the project
14 key, 2 rotary encoder macropad
The Zepeda is a compact, handcrafted macropad designed for productivity and personalization. It features 14 MX-style switches arranged in a 3×4 grid (plus a dedicated column), two EC11 rotary encoders for scrolling or volume control, individually addressable SK6812 MINI-E RGB LEDs under every key, and a 0.91" OLED display for live feedback — all driven by a Seeed XIAO RP2040 and QMK firmware.

Jayden-Zepeda-Macropad: common questions
What microcontroller does the Jayden-Zepeda-Macropad use?
The Jayden-Zepeda-Macropad is built around the XIAO-RP2040-SMD, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.
How big is the Jayden-Zepeda-Macropad PCB?
The Jayden-Zepeda-Macropad measures 100 × 78 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Jayden-Zepeda-Macropad?
51 components, from 8 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Jayden-Zepeda-Macropad design files?
From the Jayden-Zepeda/Jayden-Zepeda-Macropad repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Jayden-Zepeda-Macropad design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Jayden-Zepeda. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Jayden-Zepeda-Macropad without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
