About the Texecom power reset PCB

Texecom power reset is an open source ESP32 PCB design by jd710313, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 92 × 70 mm, with 43 components from 23 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP32-C3 SuperMini, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the Pololu S9V11E2F5 and 74HCT4538. By type, the board carries 16 resistors, 8 capacitors, 7 diodes, 4 connectors, 3 ICs and 2 transistors.

It belongs with the iot & wireless and power & battery designs in this gallery.

From the project

A single board with an ESP32-C3 (Tasmota) and two on-board relays. It sits inside a Texecom Premier Elite 64-W housing and can remotely "hard power reset" the panel by briefly cutting both its battery and 16VAC feeds.

A single board with an ESP32-C3 (Tasmota) and two on-board relays. It sits inside a Texecom Premier Elite 64-W housing and can remotely "hard power reset" the panel by briefly cutting both its battery and 16VAC feeds.

The panel occasionally raises an "AUX 12V output failed" fault. The only way to clear it is to remove all power (battery and AC) and let the panel restart. This board lets you do that remotely from Home Assistant.

Texecom power reset: common questions

What microcontroller does the Texecom power reset use?

The Texecom power reset is built around the ESP32-C3 SuperMini, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Texecom power reset PCB?

The Texecom power reset measures 92 × 70 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Texecom power reset?

43 components, from 23 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Texecom power reset design files?

From the jd710313/texecom-power-reset repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Texecom power reset design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with jd710313. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Texecom power reset without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
