This repository contains a modified derivative of the Open-Smartwatch GPS hardware project. The derivative work and local modifications are owned and maintained by Jit Dey.

The original hardware design, library references, and upstream project history remain credited to the Open-Smartwatch project. This folder keeps those references where they are required for attribution, license compliance, and KiCad compatibility.

Smartwatch: common questions

How big is the Smartwatch PCB?

The Smartwatch measures 45 × 41 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Smartwatch?

67 components, from 34 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Smartwatch design files?

From the JitDey2004/smartwatch repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Smartwatch design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which JitDey2004 chose for the repository.
