About the Happy-Keyboard PCB
Happy-Keyboard is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by jluisalegria, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 238 × 86 mm, with 96 components from 4 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the Pico, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. By type, the board carries 47 switches, 47 diodes, 1 IC and 1 connector.
It belongs with the keyboards and displays & leds designs in this gallery.

No reset button or unplugging is needed to update the keymap. Just edit code.py with any text editor, save, and you are done. The code lives in a "flash drive" partition on the Pico, so you can edit the keymap on the go without DFU or any other dev tool.
- Simple - the plain keyboard, no lighting. - With Led - adds the RGB underglow, with the lighting controls mapped to the NUM layer.

Happy-Keyboard: common questions
What microcontroller does the Happy-Keyboard use?
The Happy-Keyboard is built around the Pico, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.
How big is the Happy-Keyboard PCB?
The Happy-Keyboard measures 238 × 86 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Happy-Keyboard?
96 components, from 4 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Happy-Keyboard design files?
From the jluisalegria/Happy-Keyboard repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Happy-Keyboard design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with jluisalegria. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Happy-Keyboard without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
