About the Ublaster jtag PCB

Ublaster jtag is an open source STM32 PCB design by jlywxy, published on GitHub under the GPL-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 38.3 × 13.4 mm, with 22 components from 13 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the STM32F103C8Tx, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the XC6206PxxxMR. By type, the board carries 9 capacitors, 5 connectors, 5 resistors, 2 ICs and 1 crystal.

It belongs with the usb & debug tools designs in this gallery.

custom-made boards of ARM processors

This part of the project "SlimARM" is making "minimum" (small-dimension and low-cost) S3C2416X ARM9 processor and Linux development board.

1. HCLK(DDRCLK/2) is ok for maximum below 200 MHz. However, clock over 200 MHz is not available, since DDR2 CAS=3 supports maximum 200 MHz(5 ns). This is known in all DDR2 devices which supports CAS=3. When DDRCLK=400 MHz, clock for SDCK pin is 200 MHz, DDR2 runs at 400 Mbps.

Ublaster jtag: common questions

What microcontroller does the Ublaster jtag use?

The Ublaster jtag is built around the STM32F103C8Tx, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Ublaster jtag PCB?

The Ublaster jtag measures 38.3 × 13.4 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Ublaster jtag?

22 components, from 13 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Ublaster jtag design files?

From the jlywxy/slimarm repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Ublaster jtag design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-2.0 license, which jlywxy chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Ublaster jtag without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
