About the Tv stretch PCB

Tv stretch is an open source ESP32 PCB design by jrb00013, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 80 × 40 mm, with 2 components from 2 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP32-C3-MINI-1-N4, from the ESP32 family. By type, the board carries 1 IC and 1 connector.

It belongs with the sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

ESP32 HDMI-CEC node, KiCad hardware, FastAPI coordinator for TV syncing devices

Room-aware TV coordination: a FastAPI server plus ESP32 nodes that attach to each TV’s HDMI CEC bus. The stack orchestrates which room is “active” and sends control-plane commands (power, input, CEC keys). It does not sync protected streaming playheads; see docs/ARCHITECTURE.md.

Tv stretch: common questions

What microcontroller does the Tv stretch use?

The Tv stretch is built around the ESP32-C3-MINI-1-N4, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Tv stretch PCB?

The Tv stretch measures 80 × 40 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Tv stretch?

2 components, from 2 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Tv stretch design files?

From the jrb00013/tv-stretch repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Tv stretch design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which jrb00013 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Tv stretch without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
