About the CYBERPAD-01 PCB

CYBERPAD-01 is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by KaiPereira, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 95 × 75 mm, with 19 components from 4 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the XIAO-RP2040-DIP, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. By type, the board carries 14 diodes, 4 switches and 1 IC.

It belongs with the keyboards and displays & leds designs in this gallery.

From the project

3 key, cyberpunk inspired macropad with backlight and a rotary encoder

The CYBERPAD-01 is a cyberpunk inspired macropad with 3 keys, a rotary encoder, and a whole lotta silkscreen and neopixels. It uses KMK firmware and was meant to serve as a learning opportunity for PCB's, CAD and rendering. ## Custom Features - Custom lasercut acrylic top panel - EC11 Rotary Encoder for anything really - 3 Keys to program to your heart's content - 14 SK6812 MINI-E LEDs for backlight and and diffusion - Cyberpunk inspired case for maximum aesthetic - Exposed PCB design with custom silkscreen cuz it's sick ## CAD Design

CYBERPAD-01: common questions

What microcontroller does the CYBERPAD-01 use?

The CYBERPAD-01 is built around the XIAO-RP2040-DIP, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the CYBERPAD-01 PCB?

The CYBERPAD-01 measures 95 × 75 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the CYBERPAD-01?

19 components, from 4 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the CYBERPAD-01 design files?

From the KaiPereira/CYBERPAD-01 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the CYBERPAD-01 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with KaiPereira. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the CYBERPAD-01 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
