From the project

VIDEO SIGHT is a compact digital sight prototype built around Seeed Studio XIAO ESP32-S3 Sense.

VIDEO SIGHT is a compact digital sight prototype built around Seeed Studio XIAO ESP32-S3 Sense.

The project goal is a low-latency, approximately 1x-feeling video sight with camera input, LCD display, IMU-assisted attitude information, and a lightweight ballistic overlay for airsoft use.

Video sight test board: common questions

What microcontroller does the Video sight test board use?

The Video sight test board is built around the ATTINY1616-SN, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Video sight test board?

The Video sight test board measures 99.1 × 99.1 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Video sight test board?

53 components, from 44 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Video sight test board design files?

From the Kehaar38/video-sight repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Video sight test board design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Kehaar38. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Video sight test board without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
