About the Ketchuboard PCB

Ketchuboard is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by Ketchupism, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 393.2 × 141.1 mm, with 164 components from 11 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the RaspberryPi_Pico, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the ER_OLEDM0.91_1x-I2C. By type, the board carries 83 switches, 79 diodes, 1 IC and 1 module.

It belongs with the keyboards designs in this gallery.

From the project

A keyboard with custom PBC and case

A custom mechanical keyboard designed purely by myself. Divides into the schematics, PCB, CAD, and some additional work. This project's primarily for the learning experience of Kicad and Fusion360. This project was so I could also have a functioning use that will help me with everyday stuff.

Features - 78 keys, 1 rotary encoder - 1 rotary encoder switch - 1 0.91 inch OLED - 5 degree tilt forward - 5 pieces of 3d printed the keyboard

Ketchuboard: common questions

What microcontroller does the Ketchuboard use?

The Ketchuboard is built around the RaspberryPi_Pico, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the Ketchuboard PCB?

The Ketchuboard measures 393.2 × 141.1 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Ketchuboard?

164 components, from 11 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Ketchuboard design files?

From the Ketchupism/ketchuboard repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Ketchuboard design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Ketchupism. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Ketchuboard without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
