About the Zenith PCB

Zenith is an open source PCB design by Keyaan-07, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 6-layer board measuring 85 × 55 mm, with 145 components from 34 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the NT5CB256M16ER-FL, RK3328, TPD12S016PWR, TPS565201 and BQ25690RBAR. By type, the board carries 75 capacitors, 39 resistors, 10 ICs, 9 connectors, 6 inductors and 2 transistors.

It belongs with the power & battery designs in this gallery.

From the project

A battery powered single board computer capable of running linux

Zenith is a small single board computer made with the RK3328 which comes with 512 MegaBytes of DDR3 RAM. Zenith is built to run on battery backups along with USB Type-C power inputs. Features of zenith are:

- Quad core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU - 512 MB DDR3 RAM - SD support - 100M ethernet - HDMI out - 24 bit audio - 1x USB 3.0 2x USB 2.0

I made this SBC because i wanted to locally host some slack bots. There is literally no other reason. I have not compiled buildroot because i'll be using a prebuilt version from ROCK64. A small reason for this is because my laptop probably cannot handle…

Zenith: common questions

How big is the Zenith PCB?

The Zenith measures 85 × 55 mm, has 6 copper layers and is 0.23 mm thick.

How many components are on the Zenith?

145 components, from 34 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Zenith design files?

From the Keyaan-07/Zenith repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Zenith design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which Keyaan-07 chose for the repository.
