About the My rp2040 PCB

My rp2040 is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by kolontsov, published on GitHub under the CC0-1.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 24 × 37 mm, with 38 components from 21 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the AP2112K-3.3TRG1 and W25Q64JVXGIQ. By type, the board carries 16 capacitors, 9 resistors, 4 connectors, 3 ICs, 2 switches and 2 diodes.

From the project

RP2040 board with USB-C, 8MB flash and 22 GPIOs

A small RP2040 board, with USB-C, 8MB of flash, SWD interface, 22 GPIO, and a LED. Size: 24x37mm.

This board serves no special purpose other than being an exercise in designing an RP2040 board.

- Designed in KiCad 8, manufactured and assembled at JLCPCB, confirmed to work. - Follows recommendation from the Hardware design with RP2040. - Some footprints and 3D models are from my personal library. - Uses design rules to match JLCPCB capabilities. - Production files (Gerbers, BOM, and CPL) are generated with the help of the KiCad JLCPCB plugin.

My rp2040: common questions

What microcontroller does the My rp2040 use?

The My rp2040 is built around the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the My rp2040 PCB?

The My rp2040 measures 24 × 37 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the My rp2040?

38 components, from 21 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the My rp2040 design files?

From the kolontsov/my-rp2040 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the My rp2040 design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CC0-1.0 license, which kolontsov chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the My rp2040 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
