YUIOP: Etude of designing keyboards

YUIOP keyboards are experimental original keyboards designed by KoRoN.

* yuiop27/ - separate keyboard prototype.

* yuiop54/main - signle board keyboard prototype.

combined right and left-hand boards of yuiop27. PCB dimension is 285.00mm x 94.60mm (GH60 compatible form factor without screw holes).

* yuiop54/main2 - researching version of yuiop54.

multi-sheets schematic. fix layout for auto routing. introduce GND cupper fill. * rev.B - trial to make compatible with GH60 (include screw holes).

Yuiop50d fullauto: common questions

What microcontroller does the Yuiop50d fullauto use?

The Yuiop50d fullauto is built around the Pico, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the Yuiop50d fullauto PCB?

The Yuiop50d fullauto measures 182 × 103.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Yuiop50d fullauto?

157 components, from 7 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Yuiop50d fullauto design files?

From the koron/yuiop repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Yuiop50d fullauto design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which koron chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Yuiop50d fullauto without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
