About the Ascom flat panel PCB
Ascom flat panel is an open source Microchip SAM PCB design by letelescope, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 56.5 × 74 mm, with 14 components from 13 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the XIAO-SAMD21-DIP, from the Microchip SAM family. Other key parts include the TLC272. By type, the board carries 4 resistors, 3 ICs, 2 transistors, 2 diodes, 2 capacitors and 1 connector.

Open source ASCOM and INDI driven automated flat panel for astrophotography.
This project is an open source initiative, under the MIT license, by Le Telescope. This is the v2 of a fully automated and drivable motorized flat panel/dust cap. The device is nicknamed FFFP. Don't ask why! If you still want to know, see the misc. section of this readme.
This project should contain all you need to build your own ASCOM and/or INDI driven Flat Panel.

Ascom flat panel: common questions
What microcontroller does the Ascom flat panel use?
The Ascom flat panel is built around the XIAO-SAMD21-DIP, from the Microchip SAM family.
How big is the Ascom flat panel PCB?
The Ascom flat panel measures 56.5 × 74 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.600198 mm thick.
How many components are on the Ascom flat panel?
14 components, from 13 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Ascom flat panel design files?
From the letelescope/ascom-flat-panel repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Ascom flat panel design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which letelescope chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Ascom flat panel without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug Microchip SAM firmware against it before you order a PCB.
