About the Dspico hardware PCB

Dspico hardware is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by LNH-team, published on GitHub under the CC-BY-SA-4.0 license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 27.2 × 32 mm, with 44 components from 23 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the AP2112K-3.3TRG1 and W25Q16JVUXIQ. By type, the board carries 15 capacitors, 15 resistors, 4 connectors, 3 ICs, 3 transistors and 2 diodes.

This repository contains the files and configurations needed to fabricate and assemble the PCB for the DSpico flashcart. You can manufacture with the manufacturer you prefer. In this readme we include a guide on how to order it from JLCPCB

1. Prepare files - Make a compressed file ZIP of NC Drill and Gerber folder with the name of Gerber.zip (for example) 2. Go to the Website of manufacturer

Dspico hardware: common questions

What microcontroller does the Dspico hardware use?

The Dspico hardware is built around the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the Dspico hardware PCB?

The Dspico hardware measures 27.2 × 32 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 0.79 mm thick.

How many components are on the Dspico hardware?

44 components, from 23 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Dspico hardware design files?

From the LNH-team/dspico-hardware repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Dspico hardware design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CC-BY-SA-4.0 license, which LNH-team chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Dspico hardware without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
