-> Remote Start Functionality: Users can activate the shower remotely, allowing the water to reach the desired temperature before they step in—eliminating wait time.

-> Hot Water Monitoring: Tracks the decline of hot water temperature and alerts the user when they are about to run out—especially useful for homes that use hot water tanks.

SCREEN VERSION 1.2: common questions

What microcontroller does the SCREEN VERSION 1.2 use?

The SCREEN VERSION 1.2 is built around the ESP-12E, from the ESP8266 family.

How big is the SCREEN VERSION 1.2 PCB?

The SCREEN VERSION 1.2 measures 168.7 × 106.5 mm, has 6 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the SCREEN VERSION 1.2?

146 components, from 53 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the SCREEN VERSION 1.2 design files?

From the Lucasmnascimento94/Smart-Shower repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the SCREEN VERSION 1.2 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Lucasmnascimento94. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the SCREEN VERSION 1.2 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP8266 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
