From the project

LinHT - Linux-based, SDR handheld transceiver.

Open-source, Linux-based, SDR handheld transceiver

LinHT is an open-source handheld software-defined radio (SDR) transceiver built around a modern Linux System-on-Module and a true IQ RF front-end.

It is the successor of the OpenHT project, with focus on:

simpler and more maintainable hardware, no FPGA in the signal path, tight integration with Linux, GNU Radio, and modern SDR tooling, long-term openness and hackability.

LinHT: common questions

What microcontroller does the LinHT use?

The LinHT is built around the ATTINY826-MU, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the LinHT PCB?

The LinHT measures 45.5 × 96 mm, has 6 copper layers and is 0.933 mm thick.

How many components are on the LinHT?

202 components, from 82 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the LinHT design files?

From the M17-Project/LinHT-hw repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the LinHT design in my own project?

It is published under CC-BY-NC-4.0, which limits how it may be reused; read the license before building on it.

Can I test firmware for the LinHT without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
