About the V0 2 NAU7802 breakout board
V0 2 NAU7802 breakout board is an open source ESP32 PCB design by MacNite, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 74 × 105 mm, with 20 components from 11 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the 113991254, from the ESP32 family. By type, the board carries 6 connectors, 2 resistors and 1 transistor.
It belongs with the iot & wireless, sensors and power & battery designs in this gallery.
From the project
Open-source ESP32-C6 beehive monitoring hub for scales and sensors. Collects weight, climate, sound, vibration and bee traffic from up to 16 hives, with BLE, OTA, FastAPI/PostgreSQL backend, dashboards, MQTT and tested KiCad hardware.
Current state (as of 9 July 2026): all published PCBs are tested and working.
- Use the XIAO ESP32-C6 on the Scale Module (V0.4) as your main HiveHub controller, populated with the recommended module set: NAU7802 (2 scales), MAX17048 battery gauge, TPS63020 buck-boost, TP4056 USB-C charger, DS3231 RTC, micro-SD module and SHT40. It also collects data from up to 16 BLE in-hive sensors. - Optional, for 3+ scales: add the NAU7802 breakout PCB (v0.2) without an MCU — its TCA9548A I2C multiplexer carries up to 8× NAU7802 for up to 16 wired scales in total. When the breakout/mux is used, install…
