From the project

Driver board for the ED060SC4 EPD.

This projects intends to be a SPI driver board for the E-Ink display screen ED060SC4.

This project is still under development, you can have a look at the schematics, the PCB or the components, but it's not finished and will likely change!

The board is centered around 3 building blocks:

- ED060SC4, EPD screen - STM32F103C8T6, microcontroller used to drive the screen - TPS65185, used to generate the different rails required

ED060SC4-Driver-Board-Hardware: common questions

What microcontroller does the ED060SC4-Driver-Board-Hardware use?

The ED060SC4-Driver-Board-Hardware is built around the STM32F103C8T6, from the STM32 family.

How big is the ED060SC4-Driver-Board-Hardware?

The ED060SC4-Driver-Board-Hardware measures 71.3 × 44.5 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.599978 mm thick.

How many components are on the ED060SC4-Driver-Board-Hardware?

73 components, from 34 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the ED060SC4-Driver-Board-Hardware design files?

From the Mael-Le-Garrec/ED060SC4-Driver-Board-Hardware repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the ED060SC4-Driver-Board-Hardware design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Mael-Le-Garrec. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the ED060SC4-Driver-Board-Hardware without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
