From the project

Bluetooth-enabled audio player PCB for wireless audio playback and easy device integration.

- This design is a Bluetooth speaker control board built around an RP2350 microcontroller, a BM83 Bluetooth audio module, and a MAX98357A digital audio amplifier. The BM83 handles Bluetooth pairing and wireless audio reception, the RP2350 manages system control and external interfaces, and the MAX98357A drives the speaker output. Supporting parts include a W25Q128 external flash for storage, an NCP1117-3.3 regulator for power, USB-C input with ESD protection, status LEDs, reset and boot buttons, debug and expansion headers, and speaker or microphone connectors. Overall, the board is intended…

BT Audio Player: common questions

What microcontroller does the BT Audio Player use?

The BT Audio Player is built around the RP2350_80QFN, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the BT Audio Player PCB?

The BT Audio Player measures 77.5 × 85.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the BT Audio Player?

61 components, from 36 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the BT Audio Player design files?

From the MAGG4444/BT_Audio_Player_PCB repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the BT Audio Player design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with MAGG4444. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the BT Audio Player without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
