About the Dory PCB
Dory is an open source ESP32 PCB design by MATE-Leviathan, published on GitHub. It is a 4-layer board measuring 64 × 64 mm, with 62 components from 35 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1U, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the TPSM863252. By type, the board carries 27 resistors, 14 capacitors, 8 connectors, 6 diodes, 3 ICs and 1 transistor.
It belongs with the robotics & motion, rf & radio and iot & wireless designs in this gallery.
From the project
Overenginnered Solution for Float Electronics
A custom control and power distribution board for NCSSM Morganton Robotics.
On the robot, too many things were being connected with loose jumper wires, splitters, adapters, and one-off harnesses. It worked, but it was annoying to build, annoying to trace, and even more annoying to debug when something came loose. Every extra wire was another failure point, and every repair meant spending time figuring out which connection had moved instead of working on the robot.

Dory: common questions
What microcontroller does the Dory use?
The Dory is built around the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1U, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the Dory PCB?
The Dory measures 64 × 64 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Dory?
62 components, from 35 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Dory design files?
From the MATE-Leviathan/dory repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Dory design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with MATE-Leviathan. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Dory without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
