About the Modulo DEC PCB
Modulo DEC is an open source ESP32 PCB design by maticas-tech-sas, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 85.4 × 78.9 mm, with 10 components from 8 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the RF_MODULE_ESP32-S3-MINI-1, from the ESP32 family. By type, the board carries 5 connectors, 2 resistors and 1 IC.
It belongs with the iot & wireless, sensors and test & measurement designs in this gallery.
From the project
Want to send measurements back to a server through HTTP or MQTT? This is about it along with the PCB design, 3D box and support for data storage with maticas API
This board was designed to be a development board for the ESP32 based datalogger project. It is a simple board with capacity for few sensors and a microSD card slot, along with an RTC. This board is not meant to be a final product, but a development board to help with the development of the datalogger project, does not have a battery management system.
1. Multiple I2C sensors. 2. 1x Analog sensor. 3. 2x Digital sensor (with pull-up resistor).

Modulo DEC: common questions
What microcontroller does the Modulo DEC use?
The Modulo DEC is built around the RF_MODULE_ESP32-S3-MINI-1, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the Modulo DEC PCB?
The Modulo DEC measures 85.4 × 78.9 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Modulo DEC?
10 components, from 8 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Modulo DEC design files?
From the maticas-tech-sas/maticas-data-logger repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Modulo DEC design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with maticas-tech-sas. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Modulo DEC without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
