From the project

Open source potentiostat/galvanostat hardware design files and required software.

These are the design files for building and operating a compact open source potentiostat/galvanostat instrument. The detailed technical specifications and instructions for operation can be found in the HardwareX article MYSTAT: A compact potentiostat/galvanostat for general electrochemistry measurements30072-9/fulltext). The HardwareX article has a link to a static repository at Zenodo. This github repository was created as a clone of the Zenodo repository, with the goal of facilitating the tracking of improvements to hardware design and development of control software.

Mystat: common questions

What microcontroller does the Mystat use?

The Mystat is built around the PIC16F1459-I/SO, from the PIC family.

How big is the Mystat PCB?

The Mystat measures 60 × 81 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Mystat?

91 components, from 43 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Mystat design files?

From the matthew-yates/MYSTAT repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Mystat design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which matthew-yates chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Mystat without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug PIC firmware against it before you order a PCB.
