About the Perfboard studio PCB
Perfboard studio is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by medinstech, published on GitHub under the Apache-2.0 license. It is a board, with 24 components from 22 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the NE555, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the L7805. By type, the board carries 7 capacitors, 4 connectors, 3 resistors, 2 ICs, 2 diodes and 1 transistor.
It belongs with the test & measurement designs in this gallery.
From the project
Design circuits on perfboard the way you would on a PCB — netlist-driven placement and routing, perfboard-specific DRC, LVS, and a soldering guide with measurement checkpoints.
Six finished circuits, each shipped twice: as the .net a schematic tool exports, and as the .perf that importing, placing and routing it produces. And one project — ne555-blinker/ — which is the other end of the same workflow: a circuit that has been drawn and not yet built. Start there if what you want to see is how the tool goes from a schematic to a board.

Perfboard studio: common questions
What microcontroller does the Perfboard studio use?
The Perfboard studio is built around the NE555, from the AVR/Arduino family.
How many components are on the Perfboard studio?
24 components, from 22 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Perfboard studio design files?
From the medinstech/perfboard-studio repository on GitHub, which has a netlist and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Perfboard studio design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its Apache-2.0 license, which medinstech chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Perfboard studio without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
