About the 498R design PCB

498R design is an open source ESP32 PCB design by Mostakim52, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 55.5 × 76.3 mm, with 13 components from 10 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP32_30pin, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the DHT22. By type, the board carries 3 diodes, 2 ICs, 2 switches, 2 LEDs, 1 module and 1 battery holder.

It belongs with the iot & wireless, power & battery and sensors designs in this gallery.

498R design: common questions

What microcontroller does the 498R design use?

The 498R design is built around the ESP32_30pin, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the 498R design PCB?

The 498R design measures 55.5 × 76.3 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the 498R design?

13 components, from 10 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the 498R design design files?

From the Mostakim52/ESP32-Smart-Helmet repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the 498R design design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which Mostakim52 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the 498R design without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
