About the Usbwledc PCB

Usbwledc is an open source ESP32 PCB design by NandXor96, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 30 × 35 mm, with 26 components from 18 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the C701341, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the C2977777 and C6186. By type, the board carries 8 connectors, 8 capacitors, 5 resistors, 3 ICs, 1 microphone and 1 switch.

From the project

USB WLED Controller

- USB-C for flashing and power (max. 3A) - Small size (30mm x 35mm) - Cheap components - GSA4737 MEMS Microphone (similar to SPM1423) - Solder Pads instead of Screw Terminal Blocks - Files for panelized version (4x4) - Files for 3D printed case - Front side can be populated by JLCPCB

To enter the Flash mode of the USBWLEDC, simply hold down the button as you connect the USB cable to a computer.

Usbwledc: common questions

What microcontroller does the Usbwledc use?

The Usbwledc is built around the C701341, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Usbwledc PCB?

The Usbwledc measures 30 × 35 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.565 mm thick.

How many components are on the Usbwledc?

26 components, from 18 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Usbwledc design files?

From the NandXor96/USBWLEDC repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Usbwledc design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with NandXor96. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Usbwledc without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
