Its main chip is the STM32F072C8Tx, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the AT24CS64-SSHM, SN65HVD230 and MOC3063M. By type, the board carries 41 connectors, 20 resistors, 15 capacitors, 7 ICs, 7 transistors and 2 diodes.

It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.

From the project

(Yet another) house bus hardware based on STM32F072 and the CAN bus

This repository holds hardware and software design for a work in progress house bus system. It operates using a 4-wire bus using the CAN bus as well as supply of ~10 - 20 V. It should provide a base for very simple nodes (e.g. sensors, digital actors) as well as more complex nodes (e.g. a heating system controller).

The system design started in November 2017 when the need of a better heating system controller arose in a housing project in Wurzen, Germany. The gas heating system, a well overpowered Viessmann Atola controlled by a Viessmann Trimatik MC should be better controlled in light load…

Stm32f0-can mini breakout: common questions

What microcontroller does the Stm32f0-can mini breakout use?

The Stm32f0-can mini breakout is built around the STM32F072C8Tx, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Stm32f0-can mini breakout?

The Stm32f0-can mini breakout measures 91.4 × 53.7 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Stm32f0-can mini breakout?

98 components, from 40 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Stm32f0-can mini breakout design files?

From the NerdyProjects/HouseBusNode repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Stm32f0-can mini breakout design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with NerdyProjects. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Stm32f0-can mini breakout without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
