From the project

Open-source palm-sized ESP32-S3 brushless camera drone - DRAFT, unbuilt and untested

The Flight Lab runs MicroScout's simulator in a web page, with nothing to install:

- Fly it yourself with the keyboard, a gamepad or touch sticks, in beginner, sport or acro mode, with one-button flips. - Race five autopilots through obstacle courses: PID, LQR (Linear-Quadratic Regulator), MPC (Model Predictive Control) given the map, MPC using only its own sensors, and a learned policy. - Build your own course in a top-down editor, then share it as a link. - Train it with reinforcement learning using CEM, evolution strategies, ARS or REINFORCE, and watch every attempt as it learns. - Make…

Microscout: common questions

How many components are on the Microscout?

81 components, from 44 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Microscout design files?

From the Normansrule/microscout repository on GitHub, which has the schematic, a netlist and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Microscout design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Normansrule. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
