3 channel led controller based on the ESP12-E, this is an opensource piece of hardware meant to control 3 LED channels, and to integrate with [openhab][2] via [mqtt][2] protocol.

This module is a big version, meant to serve as SDK or handling higher currents.

Suntracker: common questions

What microcontroller does the Suntracker use?

The Suntracker is built around the ESP-12E, from the ESP8266 family.

How big is the Suntracker PCB?

The Suntracker measures 60 × 49 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Suntracker?

57 components, from 24 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Suntracker design files?

From the ohaut/suntracker repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Suntracker design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with ohaut. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Suntracker without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP8266 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
