About the Interfacing-Laptop-Battery-With-RaspberryPi PCB
Interfacing-Laptop-Battery-With-RaspberryPi is an open source Raspberry Pi PCB design by omarKmekkawy, published on GitHub. It is a board, with 25 components from 14 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the Raspberry_Pi_2_3, from the Raspberry Pi family. Other key parts include the B0505LS-1WR3, AMS1117-3.3, ADuM1250ARZ and ADS1115IDGS. By type, the board carries 8 capacitors, 7 resistors, 4 ICs, 4 connectors and 2 diodes.
It belongs with the power & battery designs in this gallery.
From the project
Interfacing the laptop battery with the RaspberryPi
1. Using an I2C isolator to isolate the Raspberry Pi from the lithium battery that is connected to it; if the high-voltage wires come into contact with any GPIO, the Raspberry Pi and everything connected to it will be fried. I will talk about this part more later. You can connect the battery directly to the GPIOs, but this is too dangerous; you are doing this at your own risk.
