About the Lfo PCB

Lfo is an open source PCB design by pferreir, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 20 × 109 mm, with 46 components from 19 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the TL074. By type, the board carries 14 resistors, 8 capacitors, 6 diodes, 5 connectors, 4 transistors and 2 switches.

It belongs with the audio designs in this gallery.

My own DIY Eurorack Modules

A dual LFO which offers triangle and square outputs with frequency and shape (tri-saw or PWM) controls as well as a button to switch between fast and slow mode. The capacitor values can be tuned to your liking. Based on a circuit by Niklas Rönnberg. My only addition has been a bicolor LED.

The panel is also included and can be ordered from a regular PCB shop, together with the PCB.

The KiCad project lives in the pferreir/eurorack-modules repository on GitHub; these links point at the commit this page was built from.

Lfo: common questions

How big is the Lfo PCB?

The Lfo measures 20 × 109 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Lfo?

46 components, from 19 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Lfo design files?

From the pferreir/eurorack-modules repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Lfo design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with pferreir. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
