The Panel Boards purpose is to implement three subsystems underneath a standard dance pad 'panel': - An interface for four GML670 50kg Load Cell Sensors. This subsystem conditions and amplifies the sensor differential input signals to prevent noise interference. The system is then sampled by an ADC at approximately 64kHz, and averaged to produce a clear 1kHz signal. - Interface for a diamond-shaped grid of 84 RGB WS2813 LEDs at over 60Hz. On-board…

Panel board: common questions

What microcontroller does the Panel board use?

The Panel board is built around the STM32F334K8Tx, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Panel board?

The Panel board measures 281 × 195 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Panel board?

305 components, from 36 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Panel board design files?

From the ReflexCreations/panel-board repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Panel board design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which ReflexCreations chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Panel board without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
