About the RKS-KEYBOARD PCB
RKS-KEYBOARD is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by rk-kaps, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 418.3 × 124.6 mm, with 419 components from 15 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the YD-RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the 74AHCT125. By type, the board carries 206 diodes, 105 capacitors, 103 switches, 2 resistors, 1 IC and 1 module.
It belongs with the keyboards and displays & leds designs in this gallery.
From the project
qmk keyboard
A mechanical keyboard build on YD-RP2040 with an OLED display and backlights
A sligthly modified 96% keyboard layout with 4 extra keys for managing onboard firmware (103 keys total)
It's a keyboard with a customisable OLED that helps to manage, and control parts of the firmware like changing backlighting color, showing typing speed and much more
The firmware is also open-source so anyone can customise and add features to their keyboard

RKS-KEYBOARD: common questions
What microcontroller does the RKS-KEYBOARD use?
The RKS-KEYBOARD is built around the YD-RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.
How big is the RKS-KEYBOARD PCB?
The RKS-KEYBOARD measures 418.3 × 124.6 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the RKS-KEYBOARD?
419 components, from 15 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the RKS-KEYBOARD design files?
From the rk-kaps/RKS-KEYBOARD repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the RKS-KEYBOARD design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with rk-kaps. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the RKS-KEYBOARD without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
