Single H-bridge brushed DC motor driver, CAN bus controlled, XT60 power input. Designed as a from-scratch KiCad 10 project (schematic + PCB), generated by script (see scripts/) and verified with kicad-cli ERC/DRC.
kicad-cli pcb drc: 0 errors in every electrical-correctness class (no shortingitems, soldermaskbridge, trackscrossing, or clearance violations). What's left: - 67 unconnecteditems (error severity, but safe — these are nets the auto-router deliberately left as an honest ratsnest line rather than force a track through a clearance violation; see "What to do before ordering" below).…

CANMD-60: common questions
What microcontroller does the CANMD-60 use?
The CANMD-60 is built around the STM32F103C8T6, from the STM32 family.
How big is the CANMD-60 PCB?
The CANMD-60 measures 172 × 122 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the CANMD-60?
61 components, from 39 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the CANMD-60 design files?
From the RRST-NHK-Project/kicad-ws repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the CANMD-60 design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with RRST-NHK-Project. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the CANMD-60 without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
