About the PCB 2

PCB 2 is an open source PCB design by sachinp-engineer, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 52.5 × 38.5 mm, with 14 components from 8 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the LM555xM. By type, the board carries 3 diodes, 3 capacitors, 2 connectors, 2 resistors, 1 IC and 1 transistor.

It belongs with the power & battery designs in this gallery.

From the project

A collection of PCB design projects created using KiCad. This repository contains schematic designs, PCB layouts, 3D renders, and manufacturing files for various electronics projects.

This project demonstrates the design of a Boost Converter PCB using KiCad. The converter steps up a lower DC input voltage to a higher DC output voltage using a PWM-controlled switching circuit.

- PWM Signal Generator using LM555 Timer - DC-DC Boost Converter Stage

The PWM signal drives the MOSFET switch, allowing energy storage in the inductor and increasing the output voltage.
