This folder contains the design files for the Blues Wireless Notcarrier-B, in KiCad 7 format. They were generated by porting the original OrCad design files. For a detailed description of the porting process, see PortingNotes.

Components in this design are sourced from the blues-kicad-lib library. However, with the exception of 3D models, KiCad produces self-contained project files. Thus this project can still be used without access to the library.

Notecarrier-B: common questions

How big is the Notecarrier-B PCB?

The Notecarrier-B measures 44.7 × 31.6 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.57 mm thick.

How many components are on the Notecarrier-B?

33 components, from 23 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Notecarrier-B design files?

From the Safecast/bGeigieZen repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Notecarrier-B design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Safecast. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
