About the FRReceiverTiny PCB

FRReceiverTiny is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by shaise, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 27.5 × 14.5 mm, with 33 components from 24 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ATmega328P-MU, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the MCP1700 and CC2500_MOD6. By type, the board carries 10 connectors, 9 resistors, 5 capacitors, 3 ICs, 2 diodes and 1 transistor.

It belongs with the usb & debug tools designs in this gallery.

FRReceiverTiny: common questions

What microcontroller does the FRReceiverTiny use?

The FRReceiverTiny is built around the ATmega328P-MU, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the FRReceiverTiny PCB?

The FRReceiverTiny measures 27.5 × 14.5 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1 mm thick.

How many components are on the FRReceiverTiny?

33 components, from 24 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the FRReceiverTiny design files?

From the shaise/OpenSky328 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the FRReceiverTiny design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which shaise chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the FRReceiverTiny without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
