About the Loci vision PCB

Loci vision is an open source PCB design by shauchit, published on GitHub under the Custom license license. It is a board, with 4 components from 4 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the XIAO_ESP32S3_Sense and SHT40. By type, the board carries 2 ICs, 1 buzzer and 1 diode.

It belongs with the sensors designs in this gallery.

A stovetop camera that warns you before the pot boils over.

Loci Vision mounts above a cooktop and watches what you're cooking. Instead of classifying a single frame as "burning" or "not burning," it reads the last 30–60 seconds of video and predicts whether a boil-over or scorch event is about to happen — the foam line climbing a pot wall, bubble density accelerating, the first wisp of smoke. The goal is a warning with enough lead time to actually do something about it.
