A real-time bionic hand that mimics your finger movements using computer vision. The mechanical hand is fully 3D printed with a tendon-driven finger system, actuated by 5 SG90 servos and controlled by an ESP32 that receives live finger angles from a MediaPipe hand tracker running on a PC.

The hand is built around a tendon-and-return mechanism — the same principle used in real prosthetic hands. Fishing line runs from each servo horn, through guides along the finger, and anchors at the fingertip. When a servo rotates, it pulls the tendon and curls the finger. Computer-Vision-Bionic-Hand: common questions

What microcontroller does the Computer-Vision-Bionic-Hand use?

The Computer-Vision-Bionic-Hand is built around the ESP32-WROOM-32, from the ESP32 family.

How many components are on the Computer-Vision-Bionic-Hand?

6 components, from 2 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Computer-Vision-Bionic-Hand design files?

From the Sighcyy/Computer-Vision-Bionic-Hand repository on GitHub, which has the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Computer-Vision-Bionic-Hand design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Sighcyy. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Computer-Vision-Bionic-Hand without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
