It was designed to dangle around my neck from a lanyard while I was wandering the halls and sections of PAX Aus 2022. It measures 102x81x16mm!

Wanna build one yourself? I go over the full build steps of this in the video linked above!

C64pico: common questions

What microcontroller does the C64pico use?

The C64pico is built around the Pico, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the C64pico PCB?

The C64pico measures 102 × 81.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the C64pico?

93 components, from 88 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the C64pico design files?

From the silvervest/c64pico repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the C64pico design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-S-2.0 license, which silvervest chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the C64pico without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
