About the BluetoothPedal Server PCB

BluetoothPedal Server is an open source ESP32 PCB design by skngh, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 77 × 41.7 mm, with 20 components from 15 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the TL072CDR, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the MCP3208-CI/SL. By type, the board carries 5 resistors, 4 capacitors, 2 ICs, 2 connectors, 2 switches and 2 diodes.

It belongs with the audio and iot & wireless designs in this gallery.

From the project

Bluetooth guitar pedal using the Daisy Seed. Sends controls from a guitar mounted box to the enclosure on your pedalboard.

Made with KiCad 10.0. Older versions won't open these files.

- BluetoothPedalMain/: the main pedal board. Includes the Daisy, XIAO ESP32-C3, input/output buffers, DC power, footswitch and mix knob. - BluetoothPedalServer/: the guitar-mounted board. XIAO ESP32-C3, MCP3208 ADC, knobs, LDR, joystick, battery. - libs/: custom symbols, footprints and 3D models used by both projects - PCBWayFiles/: Gerbers, BOM and pick-and-place (-all-pos.csv) for each board. If you just want boards, these are all you need.

BluetoothPedal Server: common questions

What microcontroller does the BluetoothPedal Server use?

The BluetoothPedal Server is built around the TL072CDR, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the BluetoothPedal Server PCB?

The BluetoothPedal Server measures 77 × 41.7 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the BluetoothPedal Server?

20 components, from 15 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the BluetoothPedal Server design files?

From the skngh/RidgeField repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the BluetoothPedal Server design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which skngh chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the BluetoothPedal Server without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
