About the Cardshark PCB

Cardshark is an open source PCB design by slobworks, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 237 × 70.5 mm, with 75 components from 32 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the 27C256, GD543x_VLB, SOJ_256Kx16, TL431DBZ and KA78M05_TO252. By type, the board carries 34 capacitors, 17 resistors, 11 ICs, 6 inductors, 3 connectors and 2 jumpers.

It belongs with the retro computing designs in this gallery.

CARDSHARK Tiburon v1.1 - MIT-Licensed, Open-Source Cirrus Logic CL-GD543x Based VLB VGA Card

As it says on the package. This VGA card for the VESA Local Bus supports a maximum memory size of 2MB, using traditional multiple-CAS FPM 256Kx16 SOJ memory. 70ns or faster memory is recommended, as is a CL-GD5434 chip for the fastest speed and least confusing build. Created using KiCAD 8.0, updated for 10.0 (a thousand apologies if this breaks your older version!)
