About the Xiao esp32c6-smart fan PCB
Xiao esp32c6-smart fan is an open source ESP32 PCB design by smicbee, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a board, with 10 components from 9 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the XIAO ESP32C6, from the ESP32 family. By type, the board carries 4 resistors, 3 connectors, 2 switches and 1 battery holder.
It belongs with the iot & wireless, sensors and retro computing designs in this gallery.
From the project
Hardware-verified ESPHome retrofit for a 3-speed rechargeable fan using a Seeed XIAO ESP32C6, motor-voltage feedback, Home Assistant and OTA.
A hardware-verified retrofit that turns a simple three-speed rechargeable desk fan into a Wi-Fi/Home Assistant device without replacing its original motor, charger, protection circuit, or buttons.
The controller emulates the original active-low Power and Speed buttons, measures the real motor rail to identify Off/Stage 1/Stage 2/Stage 3, and converges from the freshly measured physical state to the latest requested state. Rapid commands are serialized by a generation-based worker instead of trusting delayed UI state.

Xiao esp32c6-smart fan: common questions
What microcontroller does the Xiao esp32c6-smart fan use?
The Xiao esp32c6-smart fan is built around the XIAO ESP32C6, from the ESP32 family.
How many components are on the Xiao esp32c6-smart fan?
10 components, from 9 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Xiao esp32c6-smart fan design files?
From the smicbee/xiao-esp32c6-smart-fan repository on GitHub, which has the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Xiao esp32c6-smart fan design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which smicbee chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Xiao esp32c6-smart fan without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
