From the project

4-layer KiCad PCB integrating a PT100 temperature sensor and SAMD21 microcontroller with LCD interface; includes schematics, layout, firmware, BOM, and PDF documentation.

A 4-layer KiCad PCB design integrating a PT100 temperature sensor and SAMD21 microcontroller with LCD interface, developed as a group university project. Includes schematics, PCB layout, firmware, BOM, and full design documentation.

The board acquires temperature readings from a PT100 RTD sensor, conditions the signal, and displays real-time output on an LCD. The design was taken from schematic capture through DRC, fabrication, hand assembly, and structured oscilloscope validation against reference measurements.

Embedded pcb pt100: common questions

What microcontroller does the Embedded pcb pt100 use?

The Embedded pcb pt100 is built around the ATSAMD21E18A-AU, from the Microchip SAM family.

How big is the Embedded pcb pt100?

The Embedded pcb pt100 measures 88 × 60 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 0.19 mm thick.

How many components are on the Embedded pcb pt100?

39 components, from 27 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Embedded pcb pt100 design files?

From the sofiamonty/embedded-pcb-pt100 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Embedded pcb pt100 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with sofiamonty. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Embedded pcb pt100 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug Microchip SAM firmware against it before you order a PCB.
